A paver patio is only as flat as the base under it. Grain & Co. digs, compacts and screeds the base before a single paver is laid, because pavers dropped on loose ground sink in patches and there is no fixing that from the top.
Pavers come up and go back down, which is the one thing a poured slab cannot do. A section can be lifted to reach a pipe or replace a cracked stone and be back down the same day.

Are pavers better than a concrete patio?
They are different trade-offs rather than better and worse. Pavers cost more to lay, can be lifted and re-laid, and never crack across the middle. Concrete costs less, goes down faster, and is one continuous surface. Grain & Co. prices both if you want to compare them.
Do paver patios sink or move over time?
They move when the base under them was not compacted properly, which is where almost all paver failure comes from. A dug, compacted and screeded base with edge restraint around it is what keeps them flat.
Can weeds grow between pavers?
Weeds come up through joint sand that has washed out. Keeping the joints full is what stops them, and a swept polymeric sand locks the joints far better than plain sand does.
Can pavers go over an existing concrete slab?
Sometimes, if the slab is sound, level and drains away from the house, and if the extra height still works at your doors and thresholds. Grain & Co. checks all three before quoting it, because raising a patio into a door sill is not a fix.
